Our approach

We try to make thoughtful choices in how we run the nursery, helping children learn about the world around them and how to care for it in simple, everyday ways.

Food and resources

We prepare meals fresh each day and try to use seasonal ingredients where possible.

We also look for ways to reduce food waste through careful planning.

Learning through nature

We encourage children to explore the outdoors, notice the natural world and take part in activities such as gardening and outdoor play.

Everyday habits

Small actions make a difference.

We encourage children to help tidy up, care for their environment and take responsibility for the spaces they use.

Reducing waste

We aim to reduce waste where we can, including limiting single-use plastics and being mindful of how we use materials across the setting.

Part of the community

We value being part of the local community and supporting local initiatives, helping children understand the importance of looking after the world around them.
